Just returned from Italy tour of Rome to the Alps. Best Italian food is at Arlo's in Sandpoint.

Casual Italian. Traditional NY city italian with a bit of NYC attitude!

While spending a short weekend in Sandpoint, ID we walked from La Quinta Inn to Arlo's Ristorante with no previous knowledge of the restaurant. IT WAS WONDERFUL! As requested we were seated outside on a small patio/deck that overlooked the water. While we enjoyed dinner there was live music. I am not sure his name but he played lovely on his keyboard while singing Billy Joel classics. Besides the ambiance and music the food was great and almost too large portions :-)

I had the CHICKEN SALTIMBOCCA: Prosciutto wrapped chicken breast, artichoke hearts and sun-dried tomatoes, sautéed in garlic, olive oil and white wine. Served with fettuccini.(in my picture there is parm on the side since I had left the table & my b/f wasn't sure if I wanted some). My b/f had PAGLIA FIENO with Chicken: Crimini mushrooms, peas and prosciutto sautéed in garlic, olive oil, white wine and a touch of cream. Served over fettuccini. (added Chicken & received an entire breast.

Forgetaboutit sandwich was great toasted. Ravioli was decent. Overall good experience.

Ate here once so far, very tasty food. The antipasto plate was great and the meal was of very high quality.

fagedaboudit! This is hands down the best Italian ristorante in the Inland Northwest. Since re-opening after the fire that gutted it in September of 2007 it has gotten even better. Nate and Johnny in the kitchen, Tom and Lisa out front, and Neighbor John playing great live music every weekend make this the neighborhood ristorante of choice. A distinctly Cheers warmth combined with rustic Italian food, made with Amore from old family recipes handed down to Lisa by her immigrant grandmother. Do not miss this great little ristorante with a big heart here in Sandpoint, Idaho!

For Great Italian food, this is the place. Dynamite food - great atmosphere - superb service. Absolutely wonderful New York style Italian cooking.

THATS AMORE: You cant say enough about the food, atmosphere, and the sweetest people you will ever meet! They will always have my heart!!!

Sandwiched between the Cedar Street Bridge and Eve's Leaves, this is perhaps the most underrated restaurant in all of Sandpoint. Their fresh homemade marinara sauce is full of ripe tomatoes, garlic, shallots, and tons of other goodies. Don't leave without having a slice of their Chocolate Mousse Pie or a Chocolate-Chip Cannoli! $$

Four Stars! Classic Italian with a home made feel. I go to Arlo's a lot and enjoy their whole menu. The have good pasta, meats and seafood. Their garlic bread is awesome and I try not to put down two baskets before my meal comes. I usually get some sort of pasta dish and have never been disappointed. They only serve beer and wine, and the wine list is limited. I usually go for a nice Chianti and it seems to pair well with most their menu. They have a great clam appetizer and the sauce left over in the bowl is to die for especially when you dip the garlic bread in it. The owners of Arlo's are super friendly and all ways make you feel welcome.

Four Stars! My husband and I ate here on a recommendation of a friend who'd lived in Priest River for many years.  The portions are large and the food is good.  Garlic bread is yummy too.  I really liked sitting on the outside patio overlooking the river.  Very nice!

I stopped in Arlos, which is a New York style Italian restaurant (I really only needed to use the restroom) I ordered a glass of wine, then felt obligated stay for dinner. The owners tom and Lisa Guscott were very friendly. I got a tour of the place, including their resident mom and pop geese (mom was actually sitting in a flower box on the deck protecting a couple of eggs!).

The food was good. The atmosphere fun (they have a guy named John Kelley play guitar and sing in the evening. Kind of a reggae, blues kind of music. He has a great voice. I would recommend this place if you want to eat in a quaint, semi-quiet food joint.
